Il y a 3 ans, j’ai fait la redécouverte d’un objet dont ma fascination n’a cessé de grandir : la Sukkah, cette cabane éphémère, que l’on construit à l’occasion de la célé-bration juive de Sukkot. Durant sept jours, on y mange, on y dort, on s’y rassemble. Sa construction, mais aussi ses rites d’habita-tions sont codifiés dans le Traité Sukkah, inscrit dans le Talmud. Cet écrit, si particu-lier dans sa mise en page et par le véritable tissage des voix qu’il opère, devient mon site d’expérimentations et manipulations.
Ce projet est une démonstration de la pos-sibilité de saisir ce qui se produit lorsque l’on passe d’un type de langage à un autre. C’est justement dans ces points de rup-ture, ces passages, ces courts-circuits que je décide de m’engager. Dans cette quête je réinterroge ma démarche, mes outils, ma fabrique. Ce projet se situe donc entre. Il n’y a pas de début ni de fin. Partant du tout que constitue ce texte, j’y fais éclore quelques fragments ouverts, inachevés et sans cesse rejoués.
Three years ago, I rediscovered an object that never ceased to amaze me: the Sukkah. An ephemeral hut that we build for the jewish celebration of Sukkot. During seven days, we eat, sleep and gather inside. Its construction but also its rituals are written in the Tractate Sukkah, part of the Talmud. This text, quite particular in its layout and its weaving of voices, becomes my experiment site. This project is a demonstration of the possibility to witness what occurs when you go from one type of language to another. It is precisely in these ruptures, these transitions, these short-circuits that I decide to intervene. In this quest, I re interrogate my approach, my tools, and my process. This project is situated in between. There is no beginning nor end. From the whole that is the text, I make some open and unachieved fragments bloom.
