Au cœur du Luberon, une étendue d’eau artificielle cristallise aujourd’hui les tensions d’un territoire en mutation : pression touristique, sécheresse, biodiversité menacée, conflits d’usages. Longtemps privée, cette propriété — lieu de baignade populaire, réservoir hydraulique, domaine agricole — vient d’être acquise par la collectivité. Ce basculement ouvre une brèche : celle de redéfinir l’avenir d’un bien désormais commun. L’étang, ses digues, ses bois, son château forment un système où nature, culture et technique s’enchevêtrent, appelant une attention nouvelle et partagée.
Ce projet est avant tout un regard posé sur ce fragment de Provence, un miroir où l’histoire se mêle au vivant, où l’eau relie soin, savoir, culture et plaisir.
À travers une approche architecturale, paysagère, sociale et poétique, ce travail explore les possibles d’un lieu d’expérimentation fertile. Un espace qui rend visible ce que ce territoire porte déjà en puissance : une manière collective, sensible et engagée d’habiter ensemble un monde mouvant.

/At the edge of a reflection/
A pond as a mirror of a territory in search of balance, outlining the contours of a common ground yet to be invented.
In the heart of the Luberon, an artificial body of water now crystallizes the tensions of a territory in transition: tourism pressure, drought, threatened biodiversity, and conflicting uses. Long privately owned, this site — a popular swimming spot, hydraulic reservoir, and agricultural estate — has recently been acquired by the local community. This shift opens a breach: the opportunity to redefine the future of what is now a shared resource.
The pond, its dikes, its woods, and its château form a system where nature, culture, and technology are interwoven, calling for renewed and collective attention.
This project is, above all, a gaze cast upon this fragment of Provence — a mirror where history meets the living, where water connects care, knowledge, culture, and pleasure.
Through an architectural, landscape, social, and poetic approach, this work explores the potential of a place of fertile experimentation — a space that reveals what this territory already carries within: a collective, sensitive, and committed way of inhabiting a shifting world together.
