There’s a simple, almost childlike question behind this project: what if we put the pieces back together? Living, working, coming together, the system has separated everything, scattered it, optimized it to the point of exhaustion. Le Lieu Total is an attempt to gather these fragments in a single place, in a rural territory, at a scale where things become legible and livable again.
This isn’t a utopia of retreat but an experiment, in the fullest sense of the word. An architectural and political proposal, rooted in a territory, open to the surrounding neighborhood and the commune. Another model, not just theoretical but built, cultivated, inhabited. It follows in the line of the Zapatistas and all the other breaches that history has opened in the walls of the system to show that something else was possible.
The project doesn’t speak of an « after, » it speaks of now, a transition that doesn’t wait for collapse to begin. Not just a manifesto, but a place to live.
